DDers taking a break......

posted by Maureen

Okay, so we're not really going fishing! What we ARE going to do is take a hiatus of sorts.

Actually, Christine is going to do a goodby blog on Friday, but thought I'd give a shout out on my regular day, as well.

We're all hip deep in deadlines--(no pun toward our title intended)--and we've decided to take a little blogging break!

But I personally want to thank all of you for coming by to visit. And to those of you who've taken the time to write to me, THANKS! It means a lot. Our websites are still out there, so come visit. And Kate and I both have our personal blogs up, so feel free to stop by and say howdy! But for now, this is my last DD post.................sniffle.

Bye ladies!

I will miss you--but totally understand. You need to write to live, and I need to read your books so that I don't go insane and bang my head when my family drives me up the wall.

Take care.

Ladies, it was great while it lasted! I totally understand about deadlines and the need for a break. So some parting words...

Susan...thanks for a great workshop in Atlanta! I'll forever be thankful to a fellow writer who said to me while at the conference..."you've GOT to read Susan Mallery! You'll love her!" She was right! I have read all of your backlist I could find over the last six months and I can't wait for your next release!

Maureen...have loved your books for so long. From your picture you must have started writing when you were three, right? My mom is one of your biggest fans too! of my new favorite authors! How did I not know your wonderful books existed before DD? So glad I followed the link from Susan's website to here!

Christine...I have always enjoyed your SSEs. They are one of the reasons I want to write for that wonderful line! of luck with AT...I'll be voting for ya!! I know we are going to be celebrating THE news for you very soon!

It has been so fun to hang around with all of you and each one of you has inspired me in my writing! Hope to run into you again around the World Wide Web and maybe in person at a romance conference!

All the best to you!

You need a rest -- Blogging on top of writing and having a life does make for a very busy life. We all need to get off the merry-go-round once in a while. Have a relaxing time!

Wow--this is sad!! It was a tough decision and I really appreciate all the e-mails.

Kim--we'll miss you, too.

Christyne--I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the workshop. And the books!! More are coming!

Barb--Relaxation? Hmmm, I kind of remember what that means!

Take care all!!

I don't know about the rest of you but I AM actually going fishing. Ah, can't wait to get out there and smell some fish...

Okay okay, I'm kidding, but only because I can't bear all these sweet parting words from you all!!
Thanks so much, everyone! And stay tuned! Like Maureen said, we could be back....

Oh, look! I'm back already!

Just wanted to mention that I'll drop in on Monday to let everyone know what happened in the latest round of the American Title Contest. See you then!

Well, it has been an experience I've enjoyed, so I've decided to be like Kate and Maureen and blog along on my own.

Later today you can visit me at Christie's Cabana ( where I have plans to talk about all sorts of good stuff--erotica, gay male romance, and the lastest that I just heard on NPR...a spokesperson for the pornography industry claims that all recent technological leaps are due to them!

So come by if you get a chance.
